| Abstraksi | : | The work-related experiences of faculty members in professional training programs can be important to their occupational satisfaction and performance. The current study examined the work-related perceptions of 176 faculty in clinical (n=l 12) and counseling (n=64) psychology doctoral training programs in the United States. Results indicated significant differences in the perceptions of clinical and counseling faculty in relation to factors such as salary, locus of control, role conflict, positive affect, and job satisfaction, as well as differences related to tenure status and gender. The implications and limitations of this study are discussed in relation to developing an understanding of the work-related stresses, strains and perceptions of faculty in professional training programs in psychology. |
