| Abstraksi | : | Abstract The author provides the text of her Heinz and Rowena Ansbacher Memorial Lecture delivered at the annual conference of the North American Society of Adlerian Psychology in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on June 10, 2010. She discusses the life task of intimacy, and identifies belonging, growth, significance, and courage as necessary elements to addressing the task. She discusses the important Adlerian contributions of birth order and early recollections, discusses the importanceof equality in intimate relationships, and provides a case study of a couple to illustrate these principles. |
