Abstraksi:The present study examined the relationship between college Students' self-regulation of learning, test anxiety, motivation for learning, use oi cognitive learning strategies, and academic performance. The researcher exammed these associations by conducting two studies (Study 1, A^ = 451 and Study 2,N= All). Independent effects of self-regulation and test anxiety on students' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, task value, self-efficacy beliefs, perception of control, rehearsal, elaboration, organization, use of metacognitive strategies, and academic performance were found. There was no significant interaction effect between self-regulation and test anxiety on students' motivation, use of cognitive strategies, and academic performance It can be concluded that self-regulation of learning and test anxiety are important reasonable individual differences that independently influence students' motivation for learning, use of learning strategies, and fmal course grades. Implications for educational practices are discussed.
