Abstraksi:Individual Psychology has shared a long and successful union witb school coun-} seling, beginning with the initial conceptualization of the guidance movement and continuing with contemporary comprehensive school counseling programs. In this article, tbe authors present findings from a qualitative study that explored the rej lationship of Individual Psychology to contemporary school counseling practices] specifically with respect to the advent of the American School Counselor Associatiori (2003) National Model. Findings from tbis study shed light on theoretical orientatiori of school counselors, inclusion of Individual Psychology theory and techniques, and other general school counseling practice.
