| Abstraksi | : | Abstract Both a conceptual framework and a step-hy-step process are delineated for Resilience-Focused Brief Family Therapy. The RFBFT model integrates the emerging resilience research, positive psychology literature, and the family development framework with Individual Psychology's concept of social interest. Family therapy is thus viewed as a process whereby the counselor seeks to improve overall family functioning rather than merely to decrease misbehavior or symptomatic behaviors. Specific frameworks for assessing family interaction dynamics are provided to assist counselors in identifying essential family maintenance tasks and interactional processes requiring strategic intervention for fostering improved family functioning. |
