Abstraksi:We examined differences in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) referral rates by male and female undergraduates across three between-subjects factors (Subject Gender, Child Gender, Child ADHD Symptoms). Participants completed a demographics form, Child Background Questionnaire (CBQ), the Ambivalent Sexism Inventory (ASI), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale- Revised (WAIS-R - vocabulary subscale) and the Knowledge of Attention Deficit Disorders Scale (KADDS). Significant three-way interactions for the Associated Features and Symptoms/Diagnosis subscales of the KADD were observed and a significant main effect for Child’s ADHD Symptoms for all 6 CBQ items. No evidence of gender bias emerged in the present results. However, some KADDS knowledge information did show differences across college males.
