Abstraksi:Abstract Situated between Europe and Asia, Turkey enjoys the benefit of exposure to different cultures as well as the richness of its own extensive cultural history. While mental health issues have been treated primarily by physicians, there is a current call to increase attention to mental health concerns and to increase the number of nonmedical mental health professionals. Individual Psychology has had a presence in Turkey for several decades. Several individuals from Turkey are regular attendees at the Rudolf Dreikurs Summer Institute and have hosted their own "mini-ICASSIs." There are a number of individuals holding academic positions who are grounded in Individual Psychology, and recently they have hosted Adierian speakers who have conducted various workshops in Ankara and Istanbul. The emphasis on responsibility, cooperation, and social embeddedness creates a good fit between Individual Psychology and Turkish society.
