| Abstraksi | : | Bullying has become a major issue in today’s schools. School districts are committing valuable and limited resources in efforts to address the issue and to stem the rising tide of concern among administrators, faculty, students, parents, and community members alike. Many of these strategies currently in practice though deal almost exclusively with handling the aftermath of bullying scenarios. Few are bully centered. What if educators and communities attempted a different approach? Taking into account bullies’ needs for power and recognitions closer look at them reveals that they posses several attributes that are normally viewed positively by society These attributes include assertiveness, leadership skills, risk taking, organizational abilities, the effective use of psychology, the willingness to stand up against authority and express individuality, and other valuable societal traits. This article discusses the strategy of modifying and using these traits to become strengths instead of deterrents to proper social behavior. |
