Abstraksi:This study measured the degree of congruence - as calculated by the Brown and Gore (1994) Index- between the results of the Self-Directed Search and a free online interest self assessment exercise, both of which are organized around John Holland's (1997) theory of careers. A reasonably high degree of congruency was found between the two measures. Implications for career counselors, based on the results, are briefly delineated.
