| Abstraksi | : | Abstract The purpose of this study was to test the five-factor model of the BASIS-A Inventory (Wheeler, Kern, & Curlette, 1993) using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Data samples from different geographic regions and from a variety of populations were combined to yield a total sample of 917 participants. Four CFA models were examined, and the results indicated that a modified five-factor model was the best fit. These results add confidence to the existing scale structure and the overall validity of the BASIS-A Inventory, Additionally, the high Cronbach's a coefficients support previous findings indicating that the BASIS-A scales are consistent and reliable. These results support the validity of the lifestyle construct and the BASIS-A Inventory as a valid measure of the construct. Results support widening the scope of research using the instrument. |
